Orano Makes a Difference in Our ReStore

Orano Canada recently donated a new cube van to our ReStore. Through this donation Orano Canada will directly help in the reduction of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere, as well as, supporting the construction of affordable homes throughout Saskatoon.

For the past two decades the Habitat Saskatoon ReStore has served a vital function in the community by being the low-cost go to place for home renovations, furnishings, building supplies and hardware. The ReStore diverts approximately 600 metric tonnes of materials from entering the landfill and thanks to Orano we will be able to continue to do so.

Orano Canada contributes a great deal to the communities that they work in and we are so thankful! One of the most important tools we have in our mission to keep Saskatoon clean and reuse various items has been the ReStore's cube van. While our previous van served us well in previous years it had reached the end of its serviceability. Habitat for Humanity Saskatoon is thrilled that Orano Canada was able to help in such a meaningful and long term way!

Habitat for Humanity Saskatoon was able to go out to visit the staff from Orano Canada on July 9th to show them the new cube van. Of course we brought some ice cream as a little thank you for all that they have given us! It was a great day and we were proud to be able to say thank you in person!

Orano Canada will also be participating on a group build on our build site furthering their commitment to ending the cycle of poverty in Saskatoon. We are excited to welcome them to site.  Thank you so much for all the work you do in our community Orano Canada!
